However, after two playthroughs of the new demo, I find myself pretty damned optimistic that perhaps there is some significant merit to it here. However, several RPGs come out of the gate shouting about their supposed focus on 'Choices and Consequences', enough so that I find myself slightly sneering at the banality of the phrase. This immediately springs to mind the likes of Tactics Ogre, a similar isometric strategy game of which non-linear narrative progressive is a hallmark. A new strategy RPG in the HD-2D vein of Octopath Traveler is something I never knew I wanted until, well, last week.ĭuring the announcement of Project Triangle Strategy - a title which I enjoy typing out again due to how ludicrously clumsy it is - a large focus of the presentation was given to divergent narrative branches through the 'Scales of Conviction' mechanic. Strategy RPGs have always been one of my favorite genres of video games, with Fire Emblem titles typically topping my lists of favorite games for any given year (see my personal 2019 list, for instance). The Little Mermaid, directed by Rob Marshall, opens in theaters nationwide on May 26, 2023.When Project Triangle Strategy was announced with a playable demo during last week's Nintendo Direct, my interest was immediately piqued. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters, and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea, and while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. Trish is also one of the mobile archers around so you want to use that to your advantage.Ĭheck out the teaser trailer for The Little Mermaid, the upcoming live-action reimagining of the animated musical classic. Plundering Shot will definitely be appreciated by your item-hungry units like Medina and Piccoletta when you steal items that they can use. She can steal from enemies at a distance with just her normal attacks due to her passive called Plundering Shot. That's not where her looting capabilities end, though. She also doesn't need to stop at a certain tile to pick up spoils as she automatically picks them up if she passes by one. Her movement is also very similar as she can travel far with her ability Leap. Both of them play kind of the same with Trish even having a weapon skill that lets her act twice in a single turn. While feisty, she shows deep compassion about being a treasure hunter and loves her father as any other daughter would. The hot-headed daughter of Travis is an archer you'd be very familiar with by the time you're able to get her for your army. She'll join you in Chapter 15 which means that in a single playthrough, you won't be able to hire Trish, Cordelia, Travis, and Milo. ![]() For Trish, she'll join you if you've protected the Roselles during Chapters 11 and 12. Trish is one of those characters that will join you if you've made the right choices.
